About Me

Kristy Gjesme: I've lived on San Juan Island in Washington State for the last 20 years and it's still a constant source of inspiration for my art. Though l was trained in oils, I turned to watercolors many years ago when I had reactions to solvents, (still, I LOVE the smell of a good art studio). I began experimenting with acrylics some years ago but still love fluid water-media. As long as I'm painting, it's all good. I teach workshops and ongoing classes in all of the above and drawing.
